Usually I go to youtube just to catch up with the track.Just picked 1996 Gobert winning on the 7R.What a shame the powers that be got shot of him for using performance enhancing drugs(he smoked a J)

Chaz and Parkingo take all weekend to get the Aprilia up to speed, shame he missed the cut but I will look forward to him cutting through the field.

Well done again Sykesy, could be opening a watch shop shortly.

Yeah Gobert was awesome dude! So professional he couldn't keep himself clean for 6 months of the year.

The guy had talent but HE wasted it not any sporting body that set the rules.

I like the Grinner but I don't think he will win the championship cos whether it be the bike or his riding style he has proved that he is lightning fast over a single lap the combination of him and the ZX-10 seem to shred tyres after a few laps especially on stop start circuits. On more flowing tracks the tyres don't get such a hard time and he does a lot better.
We'll see now after this weekend if this theory holds up!

Lets watch the Olympics and see all these sports men and women and women that have changed to men getting caught using performance enhancing drugs.A spliff isn't performance enhancing its recreational just like a bottle of Scotch. If Gobert had been from a country that allows the use of marihuana what would it had to do with the rule makers.

Champers gets sprayed after races, alcohol ruins more lives then any drug in the world but thats ok :(

Wasn't Gobert a complete pi$$ head and coke head? I'm sure it wasn't just one joint that ruined his career, he had a rep as the biggest party boy around and the least professional. That made him unemployable.

Agree with the earlier poster, he ruined his career, nobody else. I actually find it quite disgusting that someone can have such enormous natural talent and throw it away like that.

Bear in mind we're talking about somebody that Bayliss, Tardozzi, Corser etc, the people at the top of the sport, consider the most natural talent to swing a leg over a superbike.

Back on topic though, cant believe people are surprised by Sykes, the man is a demon, this is long overdue but was always going to happen, go #66!
