I guess the intended sarcasm didn't come over too well. My point was, there simply can't be (in some people's opinion) any other reason as to why Max does well and his team mate doesn't except some kind of Italian conspiracy. Some of the people who post on here are evidently unwilling to accept the fact that Max is just riding better.

" I guess the intended sarcasm didn't come over too well "

I got the sarcasm only to well, it's just the discrepancy between practice where Laverty is beating usually beating Biaggi and the races, also Biaggi's team mates always suffer unexplained maladies and breakdowns whenever they become competitive with him, strange don't you think.

there there now:

It might indeed seem strange, if you're one of the people who believe that Max isn't just riding better. His team mates also seem to crash a lot too, all by themselves. Eugene's only outdone Max twice this year in qualifying: At Assen and at this weekend's meeting. And, he's only finished in front of Max twice: Assen in race two and at Monza. It's fair to say Biaggi's pretty much had the measure of Laverty all round so far. Because he gets more out of the bike when it matters.

Just a stunning performance by Max. Right now only Carlos is capable of running with him but he's got to qually front row, stay on board and pray he doesn't get swamped by 4 cylinder BHP.
Anyway, great ride by Max. Enjoyed the burnout as much as he did.

max rode great. shame for carlos as he was quickest in all sessions other than one sykes lap but an amateur mistake from his crew in superpole meant 16th on the grid and as we saw anything can happen when your midpack. thats his title chances over imo.althea cast him plenty of points this week!
