I think Leon's a bit down on confidence at the moment, the win that Melandri cost him at Donington will have hurt especially as Melandri (publicly at least) got away with taking out his teammate and has gone on to take more wins.

Not sure the atmosphere at BMW is as comfortable for Leon either, at least compared to his Alstare days.

I think he has 1 speed and comfort level, which is very high I give him that, but hasn't moved to the next level. If the bike & him suit the track he flies, but at world level that's not enough. Toseland and NH made the jump from great talent to great world class racer/winner, I fear Leon hasn't been able to do that. When you think about it, what has he won ?

I don't understand how someone who is 5th in World Championship isn't fit to be in there and better off in WSS or BSB??

If it wasnt for Melandri's f**k up at Donnington he would be alot closer to Sykes too.

You have to remember Phillip Island too when racing with broken leg.

Without those setbacks he could be further up than he is.

I think WSB is a perfect level for him and will challenge for Title 1 year soon.
