Great ride from Melandri but yet another dumb and dangerous move from Rea, just like Donington. I swear the suffers from brain fade when he's racing, he just can't see when a gap isn't there!

@Brian and others

Are you ever ridden a bike?
Rea move was not dirt. It was only to optimistic.

As in Donington, it was not Rea riding in other rider.
It was Haslam and Sykes, they wanted back. Sykes made a mistake as a Haslam and DOnington had to ride wide after Melandris overtake.

Both cases, racing accident, one time with lucky Rea, than not. He was realized after the crash, that he could wait for better oportunity... Shame.

Agreed, Rea was overoptimistic and this time could not get away with it. He and Melandri are the same, as Hodgson said (of Melandri): if a gap opens he goes for it, if there is no gap, he opens one. Brilliant! :))
Btw congrats to Loris Baz and Sykes in this order, cause the grinner being fast is not that much of a surprise. Two Kawasakis on the podium, when was the last time we saw such thing in WSBK?!

Brilliant start to the race with multiple lines. Geez man I thought it was motocross. Great race can hardly wait to see Melandri hunt down Biaggi in race two and standings. Can not say Rear did not try..little miscalc, good thing Checa had the blinkers on

i can't see rea moving to motogp with such riding selfishness, maybe moto2. clearly a bonehead thoughtless move on sykes. marco is similarly forceful of course and also seems to think the risk to the rider lined up for 'overtaking' is worth it... otherwise excellent riders. mediocre effort from tom when he had ample opportunity to win, but nonetheless a better result than dropping back badly as he often does. disappointed noone could take it to marco, mmax would have challenged him had he not goofed up his qualifying. laverty and haslam i expected better from. eugene should have been sparring with marco at the end.
fascinating race though!
