re: "Leon needs to get some better results or his place With BMW might not be there"

yeah, but to be given to whom...? fabi...? badovini...? some other ne-er-do-well rider yet to be named...? why...? leo's beating both those guys and pretty much bested everybody else currently in the paddock last season.

historically there's never been room for 2 stars on any team so giving it to somebody else is just a waste of time. now that melandri's there, it's not like they are going to be given a chance to do anything more with it. as we see, manu's breasts are a powerful billboard being used for advertising. :) Q: what rider's going to be able to compete with that...? A: NONE.

unless it's goldbet sponsor money wanting an all italian line-up (a distict possibility), haslam has already shown when supported he could go well on the BMW even when the bike wasn't at it's development best.

Problem for Leon is that Melandri has come into his team and handed him his ass on a plate pretty much from the beginning, Leon always seems to falter, he did it is BSB and he's doing it now in WSB.
His Dad was much the same in world chanmpionship racing too ... that last couple of % seems to not be there when it matters.

When Haslam and Corser where running these BMW's..they had the same spec and had everything available to them and they BOTH ran well..however since Melandri has been in there Haslam has had a second rate bike - Leon always gives 110% and I for one wish him luck in getting a better ride for next season.

Timbo...Wipe your mouth with some toilet paper!! Marco is riding well, starting after Donnington his confidence went sky high due to getting that win..Oh, and stopping his supposed team mate getting a win of his own. He has rode well ever since. So has Leon unluckily at times.I doubt Marco would have developed the bike as Leon has. He came in at a good time...Leon had done all the hard work, for Marco to reap the rewards.Lets just see how the season ends before passing judgement.

re: "Problem for Leon is that Melandri has come into his team and handed him his ass on a plate pretty much from the beginning"

ok, but this same fate DOESN'T await the rider who'd theoretically replace leo...?

maybe if dovi came into the team that wouldn't be the case...? but then there's the issue of 2 talented italians wanting to be top dog. i don't see andrea nor marco wanting to "play 2nd fiddle" to the other. may as well just add biaggi to the team. oh yeah, that'll blend. :D

no, the only thing that has a chance of working is 2 riders with different passports (ie. the marco/leo combo they've got) or 2 riders of same nationality (sith style), one CLEARLY the master and the other CLEARLY an apprentice (ie. pedrosa/marquez). and even the pedrosa/marquez pairing is destined to implode once marc get's his sea legs... same as spies/mladin.

So where is this proof that Haslam is on a second rate bike? Again, people ask for it but no one ever produces. Typical.

LMAO @ the "Haslam develops better than Marco." Marco was HRC's lab rat when he was with Movistar, testing an abundant amount of things, including frames for the works teams. Marco has provided more input in a year @ Honda than what Haslam has probably done his whole career. What has Haslam done again?
