Great to hear but i'm pretty sure this will be the last visit for a while. Hope they're working on some replacement venues for next year. On a side note would love to see the bikes go to Barber Motorsports park instead of Miller next year, saw the AMA round on TV and it looked REALLY good.

I don't know Barber but hard to imagine it being worse than Miller with all its dust making it so hard for riders to move off line to overtake,so, maybe so cerv.

As for Portimao, I reckon that's another sign of the times - and a worrying one too if you think what's underlying it.

great news for sbk fans I am sure sbk will not leave portimao, which is the best race of the year. regarding the racetrack, last informations suggest they have sorted the financial issues and this confirmation points that way, so I believe they are back on track

Not surprised they are struggling, I've been there the last 4 years and the attendance is very poor and getting worse year on year, the facilities at the circuit have also declined. Such a pity, its a ridiculously cheap trip, tickets are seriously cheap, the track is fantastic, viewing is superb, the area along the coast is great, the local food is brilliant and inexpensive and accomodation is also freely available and cheap. As a bike trip from the UK its a great ride across Spain but with less time there's loads of cheap flights out of the UK to Faro which is only just up the road. Really don't understand why its not caught on.
