Max Biaggi's name is not at the top of the World Superbike Championship standings for the first time since round two as a dramatic crash hands the initiative to Marco Melandri.

That's karma for a cynical finish to race one.
Haslam is second only to Spies for rotten luck this season.
Go Sykes, though. A very keenly contested championship for sure. Hopefully everyone stays fit to fight.

Too old, am I missing something we are talking about the guy sitting second in the championship. He made a mistake, he apologised and went straight over to haslam after the crash. If a rider should retire because of an incident like this I can think of a few contenders who should hang up the leathers before Biaggi.

I was surprised by the way Biaggi reacted.

Concerned, courteous, not really making excuses ('Tho a cynic might suggest because none were needed as it wasn't a stupid move that caused it just real bad luck).

But anyway, I now have little more respect for the bloke.
Tinged with caution, but some respect.

Bl00dy sorry for Leon 'tho.

re: "Max Biaggi has apologised to Leon Haslam for the accident"

just waiting for rea now to get over and apologize to the lot for initiating the accident. exaggerated riding (though it may feel natural) where one keeps criss-crossing the track like that as we saw is a safety hazard. this ain't formula D drift, here we pick a line and hold it.

I don't think BMW will be too disappointed about Haslam missing the second race.. afterall if he wasn't in front of Biaggi, Biaggi may of finished the race?? Has to be karma for sure though.
