Im gutted - this kid deserves better - another year of over riding and getting hurt

Honda must have chucked a ton of money at JR - why else would he choose to stay and ride what is probably the most uncompetitive bike on the grid?

I used to think that he signed year after year because he was looking at the big picture and Honda had promised him something special for the future (new V4 WSB or MotoGP) but that notion is starting to wear thin (although it seems the V4 is a possibility for 2014 - Ill believe it when I see it) - if thats why JR keeps signing he should see the pattern of BS thats starting to form each year around this time

A brave move by Haslem though - the second Ten Kate WSB seat has been the end of every rider bar Checa since JRs been there

Glad to see Leon get another factory supported ride and hoping JR has a clause to call him up next year when Marc Marquez bins it!! - or when the cresini or 2nd LCR honda comes available.

@ Hopeless

The reality is that JR is of more value to Honda in WSBK than in MotoGP, where they have plenty of young fast kids coming through. So yes, I think Honda Europe probably did throw a ton of cash at Rea to stay put and make that aging Blade look better than it is. And to be honest I think that was always the plan, despite the GP rides.

Perhaps Honda top brass can tell if a rider will make it in GP (you know like a football scout)and didn't think Jonny has what it takes.

Honda plan to release a limited edition road going version of their CRT bike, whether it will be 1000 to homologate it for WSB has not been announced. Maybe this pair will be on that, but don't see Haslam getting any further up the field.

Good news for the 2 Brits but WSB lose another team in Pata.

Good news for Haslam to join Rea at honda i think he will be good on the Honda although i think he is more suit to a Ducati.

But excellent news to have a all brit line up for next year, bring it on....

ok, this is a good look. however, speaking of not renewing someone's contract, what's now going to happen with my boy ao'-san...? current results may not reflect it, but anybody with a memory longer than 2 weeks knows if the kid gets supported he's shown he can ride. hell, he went toe to toe with SIMONCELLI and beat him...!!! that's "HAGA GRADE" fearlessness. something like that doesn't just go away either. there's gotta be an issue here that we're not seeing. who knows, maybe something as strange (well strange to euros anyway) as he got frowns from his fellow japanese for acting "too western"...? in contrast, haga would've just flipped them the bird and kept partying (fistpump)... but that's haga. :D

Not sure where Aoyama will end up now tbh, I thought he would of been in the Ten Kate Supersport line up for 2013, there had been rumours. Maybe he'll go Moto2 or ARRC 600s with Kiyonari. Would be a shame if someone just 2 years after finishing in the Top 10 of the MotoGP Championship wasn't racing on the world stage. Like the comment above we all know the talent's there, it just hasn't clicked this year.

Haslam moaned about the Suzuki, and he moaned about the BM, he REALLY will have something to moan about.

I'll give him one year, and then it'll be back to BSB.
