WSBK » Honda confirms Rea, Haslam for 2013


Honda announces Leon Haslam will join Jonathan Rea in its World Superbike line-up for 2013, while PATA will come on board as its new title sponsor.

nope, Haslam's wife is definitly the tops in WSBK, Melandri's girl tries to hard, Oli has it in spades, especially when she tries to look good. (just my opinion)

But I cant see why Rea would want to go to MotoGP unless hes got 2-3x the backing that Spies has, there is no room for foreigners unless they can command a lot of sponsorship in the GPs. Rea is better off in WSBK keeping his credibility and working with a team that treats him well. GPs are for brats and the racing is just as spoiled as they are.

@shakennstirred Rea was never really in with a chance of a prototype in MotoGP for next year anyway.

Honda sticking him on Stoner's bike was just a sensible policy. Firstly as a reward and secondly as a trial. It's the way things used to be done. These days too many teams give spare rides such as that to has beens, rather than trying out potential new riders.
