In 2014 Italian terrestrial TV drops MotoGP coverage and switched to WSBK on a multi-year deal -that will make sponsoring WSBK teams very attractive for Italian companies.

I wonder if there is any truth in the rumour of a V4 Honda superbike for 2014 to coincide with Hondas anniversary, as revealed in MCN last Wednesday.

not their anniversary... the MERGER...! the UWC (Unified World Champeens).

honda's listening to the winds, hears/sees the redundancy of things and knows that it's the sound of "inevitability" (agent smith voice). 1 bike, 1 mission, which is... kick everybody's a$$ REGARDLESS of context. motogp...? satellite...? CRT wobblers...? WSBK...? their mantra is, "who gaves a crap, we're BIG RED or hadn't you noticed"...?

@Sick Cylinder

regarding italian Tv coverage, what you say starts from next year 2013, not 2014.
WSBK is already on terrestrial coverage but will change network moving to the major one, while MotoGP will move to satellite pay tv only.

Ehh there is something in what shamarone is saying, I knew about the coming of the production-RCV but I always thought of it as a MotoGP-refugee but it is actually a perfect Superbike-basis a la RC30. So it will be interesting to see what is their next step if they dont get in MotoGP what they want and that would NOT be the spec-ECU for sure. With that bike they can go both ways.
Also Dorna is making a huge mistake moving MotoGP to pay only tvs, they wont be able to maintain even the actual number of viewers, no chance there is a possibility of growing that way.
