Marco Melandri could be out of the World Superbike Championship title fight after it was confirmed he won't start race two at Portimao.

Bummer about Marco, but I think it's in his nature to over-ride when he should be a little more patient, we've seen it several times this year and now it's cost him a championship... hopefully not a kidney though :P

the only thing Marco can do is win the next two races and finish the season strong. At least he was in part the cause of what happened to him, so its not like he got speared by someone else.

Sorry but i think he only has himself to blame, there wasn't even a gap to try and get through. i think he just wanted knock Biaggi off so he has a Chance but it backfired

Very very stupid move bij Melandri.

In Germany he failed to secure two podium finishes. He failed to keep it together in Portugal.

He leads the Championship and bam.. everything goes wrong. This man can't work under pressure. Too bad..
