and here it is, the sobering reality of motorcycling...

you can be injured or worse KILLED in the performance of your job all while having PAID for your ride or having the product you represent and your efforts DEVALUED by the very fans who derive entertainment from your skillset.

a person can do this...? or they can aspire to stand on a baseball field in america for a few hours with little to no risk of death or bodily harm, be absolutely ADORED by their fans (star-eff'd unconditionally), and earn 3x to 4x the number of millions. millions that over a career can be transformed into wealth that then lasts for generations.

what career path does an educated sportsman of the 21st century encourage their son or daughter to choose...?

Very tough luck. The important thing is he doesn't seem too badly injured, it could've been a lot worse. Lets be thankful it weren't more serious.

Agree with u kiwibob, I am fully respect to all the riders but Melandri should know better. I think that was his own mistake that he should admit. Lucky for Biaggi that he stayed u right!

If as he states he cannot see a bright orange Aprilia in front of him which in his own statement hits the front of his bike then he must have very poor eyesight or suffers from such arrogance that he is unable to admit to infallibility.

Oh you guys..... you always make me laugh, if that had been Rea, Haslam or Laverty it would have been Biaggi's fault.
Keep up the good work.
