British fans should be proud today. Tom Sykes aka Grinner gave 100% at R2, he didn't slow down in the later stages of the race and kept that 1 place like a Pro.

There is truth to the fact that Biaggi got an advantage from being Italia. The half points race at Monza, RSV4 being a born race bike and so on.

However the fact is that Sykes just wasnt fast enough. The Kawasaki was ready to win the championship, Sykes wasnt. You need to be able to win dry races if you want to become champion.

there are a lot of people on this site who do not know how critical the tires are to championships. Sykes would have breezed this championship with the right rubber under his tires, Aprilia, Max and overall race pace made the difference this year.

If it rains heavily next year and Pirelli keep the same tires, Sykes has a good shot, if it doesnt rain so much then Honda, Aprilia, and BMW have the better shot.

"RSV4 being a born race bike and so on" I think you'll find the Kwack is as well it looks almost identical to the pre Suter Kwack in GP.

pcxmac you are obsessed with advantage and tyres, the whole point of single tyre rule is nobody does.

thats a fallacy RSMick, one bike will always have more of an advantage with a single tire rule. Single tire rules do not level the competition, they introduce a control mechanism which is not sporting. Who ever Pirelli build their tires for will win the championship, just like in MotoGP.

Your the one kidding if they dont consider the bike's data when designing the tires.

the problem with talking to people who dont understand math, engineering, or politics is they are completely clueless and stupified, most often by the tube.

Forza RSMick, you do your ilk proud.
