incidentally.....i think everybody involved was chuffed to see guinters win that first race..including jack and james...the lads enthusiasm for racing whatever the conditions is inspirational!!

nice to see his lovely lady wife in the paddock supporting him too...quite rare that i think....

I'm sure Jack & wits know biaggi, so possibly their opinion is based on first hand knowledge of him. Shakey Byrne in an interview stated how egotistical he is, anyhow roll on next year, with or without max its gonna be stonking again.

It doesn't matter how old he is so long as he can still cut the mustard. All the great riders say the same thing about needing to be consistent during the season and the only question is can he be bothered to go on? Let's look at the seasons stats. Biaggi had 5 race wins 2nd only to Melandri's 6 wins. He finished 2nd twice equal 4th with Checa and Haslam and he finished 3rd four times equal top with Sykes. He also had 5 races with the fastest lap 2nd only to Checa with 8. Lot's of poles for Sykes but only 3 fastest race laps. Biaggi had a bad time last weekend because he played it too safe and it almost cost him. Fair play to him if he carries on and he clearly is so why should he make way for younger riders? I hope he does carry on. Namaste.

I hope Max retires next year so that Sykes can win the championship. Max has said 2013 will be Sykes if not Rea. Would be interesting if he can go to MotoGP riding an Aprilia.

Biaggi in 2012 had Aligi Deganello as crew chief.
He was the crew chief of Simoncelli last year...

Biaggi won the championship with 358 POINTS:

3 is the number of Max
58 is the number of Simoncelli

"crazy destiny coincidence" said Biaggi in a radio interview...

Biaggi does't want to retire.

they just haven't reach an agreement on team structure/ bike development and money - given the economical environment...
so they decided to postpone discussion after the end of the championship.

but now that they won the championship they will find an agreement

Good point Numberfree as Biaggi has brought Aprilia two WSB championships and has helped develop a great bike. It would be great if they could convince him to stay another year but can understand totally if he decided to retire. Cheers Biaggi and Aprilia for a job well done and the entire WSB for a great and exciting season.
