Was Josh Waters a real contender for the bike? Yes, he tested it, but I never heard the team wanted to sign him.

As for Guintoli, he should have a good chance with the new Ducati factory team. It's much better than Suzuki. And we haven't heard about ParkinGo's plans either.

@Mick

you must be right - and not in the slightest paranoid.

Because if there's one thing history shows in motorcycle racing, it's that team managers deliberately don't sign fast riders - in case there's a danger they win the championship That would be horrible, and not at all what the Suzuki factory would want.

Oh brother...

Jules should have stayed in WSS for another year and won the title. This would have given him a better choice of rides for 2014. Much as I would like to see the Gixer winning races and competing for the title it is not realistic at present, the bike is too old.

Hmm. Cluzel is certainly talented so happy to see him in WSBK. As for the Suzook.... well, it may be old, but Camier showed flashes of genuine pace. Not often enough sure, but as others have said they started to get their act together later on. Also Camier has said the bike handles well & he can make the tyres last - but they needed for shove. In only their 1st years, and the first tie up with Moriwaki sorting the engine tuning they steadily got better. With a year behind them, then maybe all it takes is the experience and a few more bhp and they just might surprise the hell out of the paddock (if not for the WC, then at least at some rounds). I shan't be too shocked if Fixi are competitive in 2013 with either pilot. Good luck to them I reckon.
