Ducati confirms it won't continue with Althea Racing for the 2013 World Superbike season, but insists Carlos Checa will ride the new 1199 Panigale.

lol @ all of you thinking that the panigale will prove to be a good bike...when the panigale gets out performed all season in '13 i hope all of you remember these posts lol...again the panigale is a piece of crap lol...bring on '13 season

let me help you out vilas, the 2 engines you are referring to are the 998R and 999R testastrettas, both were short stroke variations on the desmo theme. bayliss worked wonders with both and in 2 different chassis.

something that is also supported by the fact that la marra and the pani LED the points in SSTK briefly and were only 3pts adrift going into france.
