WSBK » COMMENT: Who should replace Biaggi?

The champion's bike is available for one lucky rider, but who do you think should replace the retiring Max Biaggi for the 2013 World Superbike Championship?

@Marc
Biaggi was old and fast..Age doesnt mean much but its easier to get sponsers behind a younger rider.
I thinking it will be an Italian on the bike.

Yeah I heard of Hodgson didnt he have a really sh1t ducati that no one else would ride and still got podiums? If i remember correctly there were quite a lot of rules to make that bike uncompetitive? So in answer yeah I know about your series.

I dont remember making it about historic yanks just about the current names being bandied about like Hayes. The AMA is now a joke and the title means nothing....Hayes wouldnt win a WSBK race if he had an extra 500cc over everyone.

Crash ! asks "Who should replace Biaggi?"
No-one can replace Biaggi. His magic on wheels and his complicated, intriguing character make him irreplaceable.
Who should ride alongside Norge is a different question.
Sylvain would be a good choice - his 2012 performance shows he can get results, and moving from the out-dated Ducati to the nimble Aprilia would see him flying.
OR, maybe Dorna have already chosen the rider, but not told Aprilia yet.

Troy Bayliss - if Mrs Bayliss would let him out at weekends. Love to see Tommy Hill on a good bike at this level, but it'll probably be one of the CRT lads Pirro, Herndez probably cheap and maybe quick....? Who was the Italian lad factory Ducati tester....? Went to supersport & did nowt.

Would someone have to pay or bring in sponsors to ride for a top level team like Aprilia? Could you buy a ride?

The series may go through changes but the quality of rider coming from the States will remain the same, Top notch. Both Spies and Hayes finished 6th and 7th on their 1st Moto GP rides dude where did Crutchlow finish? If the AMA was such a weak series then why hasnt a top Brit ever won it? A much maligned and not even close to his Moto gp form Hopkins barely lost the title in his 1st try! Hodgson couldnt even get close to Spies to smell his exhaust and Fogarty never stayed long enough to even try our best! Our results speak for themselves just as super soldier said, Where are the brits? Hayden is our last Moto Gp Champ in 2006 , where's yours?
