'When I went out on the softer tyre, I lost the rear going into turn one and the bike ended up in the barrier and too badly damaged to repair' - Leon Haslam

@ in case he bones her. Haslam is a very good rider, he's not a great rider at all. Hail wood, ago are great riders. What has Haslam actually achieved to earn the term greatness and takes him to the level of hailwood etc? Cb500 cup is hardly a championship that that earns you a "great" tag, is it?

@ mike litoris your definition of great is different to mine
greatest is what you mean as in Ago and Mike whereas most riders in moto gp wsb etc are great riders Haslam included you dont get a ride with top teams by being anything other than great

Lets get one thing straight ticket sales for WSBK/GP/BSB events do not go to the riders they go to the organisers of the race series.

Riders solely rely on personal sponsors or maybe a wage from the team (if they are lucky enough) which may come from sponsorship or the team owner's pocket.

I hope haslam can turn his luck around and make the Honda ride work and I don't think both riders are expecting to win this year but instead looking towards 2014 when the production v4 racer makes it debut! smart move, why do you think Rea was convinced to stay at WSBK.
