I'm so scared for Sylvain. I don't trust Aprilia and Dall'Igna. There's something wrong, the agrement take too long and at the end, there will be no competitive bike available for Sylvain. I don't want to see him im CRT, please...

Aprilia want to start making money (or at least stop losing so much) from their racing activies and continuing to invest heavily in WSBK isn't the way to do it. So they will be scaling back. This will be the last 'full on' year for WSBK before the rules are changed to make them less like CRT MotoGP bikes. WSBK used to populated by importer teams running pretty basic bikes until Ducati arrived with the first works team and loads of money. I'd imagine that importer teams running pretty basic bikes will be what it will return to.

Why not James Ellison? He has done a good job in MotoGP this year and got kicked from PBM. He is experienced and a very good rider.

I would also like to see Giugliano on a good bike next year as I think he's an exciting young rider with a big future in WSBK. It would be good to see him on the Aprilia.

Do you know the worrying thing about this storey....Its the way he describes Guinters as "reasonable", after the luck he's has I doubt if that comment is filling him with confidence.

Either way hope he gets sorted very very talented rider.

Id like to see him and RDP on them, now that would be FullFactory....

So, to read between the lines, Aprilia wont be deciding on their own team until Red Devils make up their mind. Sounds to me that if Red Devils do a deal, the works Aprilia team will only have one rider. If Red Devils don't do the deal, the works team will field two riders.
I really hope Sylvain gets the ride. Gigi is trying not to sound too enthusiastic about Sylvain, probably to warrant a none-too-generous contract.

@Simon Neil
How nice to see someone actually know the history of WSB and what it was meant for.
I would like to know from all the WSB die hards here what they think is a full grid, 23 as last year?

So prilla want to supply bikes to althea and red devils. that would mean laverty at althea factory supported? With no ride for guinters? Or a two bike full factory team if one of the privateer teams fall through.
Chas last year and haga year before proved the privateer rsv4 can make the podium, though hope sylvan isnt high and dry. he has shown his worth, with out doubt. i guess the money talks and how much can guinters bring to the party.
dorna's meddling could actually be a good thing. take the money out of it.
