@ Macca

Actually Guinters was done in by his Effenbert team who cited underperformance eventhough he recorded the teams only victory and podiums.. With that said Effenbert dropped all their riders (their 2 best riders were dropped mid season) It has been widely agreed that the Effenbert team is Jacked up!!

Guinters went on to record 2 wins and 1 podium with PATA Ducati hence the interest in Guinters. The only major issue was the supposed broke deal with Crescent which said he had a contract with them and/or a handshake and Guinters backed out of the deal. No lawsuit filed so this is still unclear.
Either way Aprilia sees the talent and of the crop he is the best (or best left).

Cheshirecat1: It looks like the Brit fans are already lining up the excuses for Laverty. Obviously, with Guiters being from a country outside the UK, he'll automatically be the one that gets all the good bits first?!?!? You guys crack me up.

BTW, times up now show Eugene half a second slower than Guinters.

@ mcp
as guinters lives in the uk and is married to an english lass i dont think any brits are bothered who is top dog between him and lavatry

personally i think eugene is a top 5 rider and not champion material, guinters on the other hand i think does really well whatever bike he is on which is in my books a sign of a top rider

MCP do your research before posting pointless rubbish, he's regarded as a Brit here.

Im a Brit and I bet a million pounds he'll beat Lav next year but thats not slagging Lav off but I remember how World class Guinters is.

This will be the first proppa top ride he's had. IMO your looking at a future multi world SBK champion!!

The boy is no slouch. From his days riding the Tech 3 Yamaha in the rain you could tell he had the ebility to be fast on the right bike.

Always good to see talent being recognised and rewarded.
