Last I looked he wasn't exactly blessed with good luck on a bike. While I wouldn't want anything to happen to him , I'd say this sounds like a good idea in practice, but bad news at the same time. Accidents happen.

Followed this guy's entire career. James Toseland is a legend. Awesome rider that cannot be denied. Good luck with the speed record not going to impress me as much as 2 WSBK titles though!

drop this craziness and go get a job calling races on BBC or Eurosport or whatever. Hang out in the paddock, get paid to TALK, all on someone else's dime while you draw a check as well.

look, did anybody here know the guy's name who holds the current record before they read this article? exactly. that's how much recognition this will get you.

A third WSBK for Toseland?!
Yeah right... I think you find the field a bit more competetive now compared to when he took his titles.
A good rider, no doubt - but not up to par with the 2013 WSBK gang in my eyes.
