Checa without a massive bike advantage, eighth seems fair.

He benefitted from rules that made him look very good, however, we have seen his true level in 2012.

Tom Sykes for number 1!

I see Chucka has said Ducati were unfairly penalised this year and the Organisers decided Ducati werent going to win. Hmmm

I see a serial crasher and underperformer who could only win when he was on the Ducati in a year the tyres only suited that bike ( as proved by Biaggi winning titles either side of him plus practically EVERY non Ducati riders comments to this effect).

It was a pretty dismal title defense and many commented we saw the old, the real Checa- a guy throwing it away frequently, as shown in the very first race.

8th in the standing is about right for him.

Fourth on the bike the other riders nicknamed the snail.sure he crashed but mainly due to having to push too hard in the corners. The bike was so slow he hardly ever passed down the straight. I think it was testament to his ability he finished above the likes of laverty rea and haslam.

The bunch of idiotic WSBK organizers who gave the ridiculous extra weight on the Ducati and made it like a scooter on the straight was the problem. That was totally unfair on Checa and Ducati.

re: "I hope ducati leave wsbk or build a 4cylinder. Want to see a fair fight."

i hope ducati NEVER leaves and wsbk continues to embrace a winning formula that reflects what i can buy off my local showroom floor, since i can watch even displacement multi's (that i can't buy) compete over in grandprix.

I hope Ducati never stop building big bore V2 sportbikes and race them in WSBK. They are the last hope for someone who loves V2 supers. I am not saying they could not do that at a more reasonable price though. :)

Go buy an RSV4 then and get something embraces a world championship winning formula, without a displacement advantage, that you can buy off the local showroom floor. Also, you can watch it in grandprix racing too!

Ducati cannot compete on a level playing field. What should we do if Norton decide to enter? Give them 1400cc? For me every championship Ducati and their riders won have been questionable.
