Its beyond me how he managed to toss away the championship. I hope he can make good on next year to make up for this years disaster.

Get those tires working Marco, and get you a world title.

With Marco I've experienced all from agony to ecstasy and way back.It is this which makes him so unique so far.
May 2013 make the unpredictable a forgotten word !

The guy has gp class and did very well on a tricky bike. He will be in the hunt again in 2013. Whilst he was effectively his own worst enemy, he can take massive credit for turning that bike into a contender.

Hopefully chaz can share some of the glory next year.

His ability to win several races in each of his WBSK years (on different machinery) just shows why he was once considered a possible World MotoGP champion. On the other hand, the fact that he threw the championship away by handing his team tons of medical & repairing bills over the last races were a reminder of why he ultimately lost his place on MotoGP: bad mental lapses...

Yeah, the man carries for me a big question mark. In the positive sense, mind. I thought he was lost after his disastrous stint at Ducati but WSBK recovered (once again) a lost cause. Or apparently so. Therefore the question mark. Checa, Biaggi were other apparent has-beens that rejuvenated to a WC. One wonders if Melandri would be competitive again back at MotoGP!

Anyway, he will be a strong contender for the WSBK title.
