PCXmac, I'm no world championship rider but going fast on cold tyres, destorys them. Going balls out for few laps appears to destory Pirelli's, holding back half a second for the entire race conserves Pirelli's.
So a race where you have 5 laps @ 1.29 + 15 laps @ 1.31 = 30.09 minutes. 20 laps @ 1.29.5 = 29.49 minutes.
Ex GP riders seem to handle it like that.

Your correct the Bridgestones are made to push harder, however if you don't push them hard enough they don't work making slower lap times, this is not the case with Pirelli's so for faster times Bridgestones are the weak SOURCE. Look up Guintoli's comments. Pirelli's may be made of sauce I don't know.

So what you are saying and it is believeable the only times Tom won is when Pirelli gave him the special tyre.

"Too many brits voting for their homeboy I'm afraid..... Posted by RG500"
If that was true then the top ten would have all the Brit riders at the top, and all the non-brits behind them.
It seems you are saying that because this is a UK
based site that Brits shouldn't be allowed to vote because of national bias.
As British and International Boxing Champion Henry Cooper used to say ... "In Italy you've got to knock 'em out to get a draw!"

"It seems you are saying that because this is a UK
based site that Brits shouldn't be allowed to vote because of national bias." Tetley, I am not saying that at all, don't try to put words into my mouth. Read my post again. What I am saying is that Sykes is a very popular rider in UK, of course you want him to win, consequently he gets a lot of popularity votes that boost him in these polls. In this case to first place over a guy that beat him! What I am saying is that Sykes got beat by an old master of the game. Max is No 1 and deservedly so. Time for a cup of tea!

@Tetley
funny that comment on boxing, giving the recent and ridiculous scandal at the olympics with the brit taking a beat vs the italian, and then having the gold medal served to him...
lol. one of the most pathetic sport event in 2013.
anyway you're correct, that's how the world works.
cheers, happy new year.

@TalentFan - get a clue. Do you really think The Kwak was designed for the road first and track second and that's the difference between Max's bike and everyone else's? Nobody can ride a modern 1000 to it's limits on the road so where's is it really designed for....

Biaggi's bike is 4 years old in 2013 and god knows when it was first conceived. I think all the other manufacturers have had plenty of time to catch up.
