WSBK » No Brno round for 2013?

The Czech round of the World Superbike Championship at Brno could be set to lose its place on the 2013 schedule.

Not sure it's a Dorna thing (suspect they'd stand to benefit from having a similar-ish calendar to MotoGP), but there must have been a reason why Brno wasn't included in the first place.

Guess it's a financial reason, but probably doesn't help Smrz and (probably) Effenbert won't be around in 2013 to represent Czech Republic - might have been the last nail in the coffin for the circuit owners.

Still think it is strange that we are in 2013 and there has been no confirmation regarding the calendar, though I suspect it may have something to do with Dorna integrating its people into WSBK still.

I have heard that Max Biaggi wants to help find funding so that the Brno round wont be dropped from the callendar. We will see. One thing is for sure, the Czech government is doing everything possible to exterminate any global motorosport event in our country!

Dorna does not want Superbikes showing how useless MotoGP is, this is why with time they will remove all tracks where lap times can be compared from the WSBK callendar. It will also dumb down WSBK, so MotoGP seems stronger by comparison. In 5 years WSBK will w weaker series than BSB and other national series. Pathetic, building MotoGPs stenght by making WSBK weak.

simply unbeleiveble,
an awesome track like Brno out by bussines,
and what about Miller...i think could be good
run in Miller and L. Seca, is benefit because they travel to there, they are "near"...,
according theoric pilosophy...
and Misano is a classic to...really strange

Why are there comments stating this is to remove tracks where WSBK and MOTOGP can be compared, when Jerez and Laguna Seca have been added to WSBK this year?? This clearly doesn't fit that logic!!

Think of 2014 and beyond. There won't be more than three races in spain and I do believe that Jerez is the one which will be dropped out of the calendar. The same happens to Laguna, in 2013 there are three races in the US, this will be reduced to two in 2014 or 2015.
