Eugene Laverty is aiming as high as he can ahead of the 2013 World Superbike Championship as he begins his bid to successfully defend Aprilia's 2012 titles.

Eugene is a class act and if he has no issues with the bike i see no reason why he cannot be in the top three come the end of the season, or be champion.

@samsmum-i think its about time you came clean and explained why you are constantly making deranged insulting comments,always to do with Eugene Laverty..or are you just a coward,hiding behind your keyoard?

This is Eugene's year!
I think he showed a lot of promise end of last season once he got the bike sorted and got away from Max's set-up.
He has the machine and the team, he just needs to step up to the plate.
Come on Norge, give us something to remember!

Without doubt Guintoli will be strong but I can't help but think people are a bit against Norge on here? He hasn't shown his best yet rest assured!

dearest gobshin ,
its not an insult, just a point i havnt heard any rider,talking this way no1 rider an all that, this is not f1, i dont think even the great troy bayliss called himself lead rider ,,,,, as for pre season doesnt mean a lot really, if i wereyou id stay at the keyboard leave the bike raceing to people that no !!!!!!!!

I imagine the 'team leader' thing must journalistic creativity (crash please clarify). you would doubt that aprilia would give special treatment to norge over guinters, i'd have thought two well matched and talented riders would be an asset for this team. tow riders to share data and push each other. they will need it to combat the grinner and melandri.

Either that or the team leader might stick a pit wall in there or request the team orders which were used by mad max.
