Great race by Aprilia both Guinters and Laverty. great to see them both ahead in championship.
@Friction at Aprilia
can you please tell me where you got the information that Eugene took it upon himself to declare that he is no.1 at Aprilia. i really doubt that is the way it works, but maybe you have some inside information?
And by the way was everybody not on their first race of the year or have i missed a round?
if you are referring to his first year on the aprilia, this is guintolis 4th+ season in wsbk, not to mention moto gp, bsb, 250 gp. he should be(and is) well up to the job. its not as if Laverty got beat in race 1 by a rookie. sounds to me like you are just one of the many on here who are too happy to try to knock Eugene. well a 1st and second is hard to knock, for both of them.

Considering most fans prefer SBK racing to GP racing not much talk about it here, and what's worse channel 10 sports didn't even mention it, a world series event didn't get a word while much lesser events got plenty of cover. So it would seem SBK is a non event.
Great racing in all classes.
Aprilia 123 in the first race and the podium with three different tricolour flags got to be a first.
Hope Carlos has a speedy recovery.

its ok Rod 99! if you wheely wheeely want me to take sides, i am a Laverty Fan! but mostly a world superbike fan or any good racing for that matter, which is why i wasnt just trying to be diplomatic, i was giving my honest opinion. i was giving credit where it was due. Guintoli deserves HUGH credit, i was just pointing out specifically to you...oh sorry... i mean friction at Aprilia.......( i'd say ye would get on wheely well together!)....that there was no shame in Laverty being beaten by a rider of Guintoli's class in race one.
anyhoe, i hate when bike racing begins to sound like football fans taking senseless pops at the opposition, just because they are the oposition.
nice prediction on the season. you should head to the bookies straight away with a solid prediction like that
