Awesome performance for a "hotted up" road bike ...
some of the Aprilia's lap times at Phillip Island this year were faster than Valentino Rossi qualified Ducati's factory MotoGP bike only a few months ago.

Just pondering on how the reaction would have been if it was 3 Ducati's on the podium.......how long before some idiot on here starts accusing Aprilia of 'cheating'?
Some surprises, some disappointments, great racing....that's the joy of WSB you can never predict what's going to happen, next round the whole thing could be turned upsidedown with different riders/bikes at the front.

Re friction at Aprilia season just started and your trying to stir up s**t already, lots of great riders or else they wouldn't be there. Why not enjoy the racing without the stupid BS.

alot of pressure on Laverty this season,Guinters out classed him in race one bigtime...We finally got to see a motogp bike vs superbikes!! The RSV is at the top of it evolution this season pure domination at phillip Island.

Strange see because if i was as straight down the line as you say you are, my comment would have been something along the lines of.

Im a massive Laverty fan gutted he lost the first but brilliant in the second, fair play to Guinters to be able to do that with the bike already, thats impressive!

But in all fairness you didnt do a Stoner fan and slate riders out of pure hate, so fair play to you, and good luck to Lav.

its ok Rod 99! if you wheely wheeely want me to take sides, i am a Laverty Fan! but mostly a world superbike fan or any good racing for that matter, which is why i wasnt just trying to be diplomatic, i was giving my honest opinion. i was giving credit where it was due. Guintoli deserves HUGH credit, i was just pointing out specifically to you...oh sorry... i mean friction at Aprilia.......( i'd say ye would get on wheely well together!)....that there was no shame in Laverty being beaten by a rider of Guintoli's class in race one.
anyhoe, i hate when bike racing begins to sound like football fans taking senseless pops at the opposition, just because they are the oposition.
nice prediction on the season. you should head to the bookies straight away with a solid prediction like that

So many people comment and their bias towards certain riders makes the comments so funny, I spose thats why the sire is entertaining.

@looey

lol nice comment try and be diplomatic, you wouldn't want to alienate anyone would you, especially as this will happen all year and you'll need the sympathy vote then.. Why not quote Laverty's riding history?

The fact is he has had a whole season on the bike previously and has been beaten/matched by a guy on his first outing, give credit where its due ffs.
