Phillip Island is a MotoGP track and I think we just saw a MotoGPbike dominate both SBK races lol.Not to take anything away from Aprilia,Kuddos to them for producing such an awsome race track Weapon.
Think Laverty is going to be outclassed by Guinters this season,Sylvain is a much better rider in the Wet and just as fast in the dry.

@prof

Did yo not watch the first race?. He came from waaay back, caught him, passed straight away and then cleared off to win. First race on the bike!

Yes Laverty is good but to sit on the **** of your team mate the whole race , letting him do the work and then pass on a better tyre, not exactly mind blowing is it

Guinters really is special but has NEVER had the chance on the top bikes. Your going to be sadly disapointed this year.

No shame though because Laverty is good but Guinters has the potential to be a superbike great, once he gets used to not being the underdog!!

@rocketR1/unregistered-just as fast in the dry?not by 0.4 sec unfortunately.delighted to hear moto gp bikes can now be bought for £13,000 at your local dealer.grids should be huge this year.dont think Lavertys aim was to blow your mind-just to win,which he did,with a new lap record.congrats to Eugene,Sylvain,and Aprilia..excellent performance.

@Gobsheen
to be 0.4 of the track record in the second race on a new bike is doing pretty well ...not to mention Sylvain won Race 1.
PI caters to all the RSV's strengths as was shown by Biaggi last year and all the Aprilias this year,The test for them will come on the slower circuits.
Lots of pressure on Eugene this season..2nd year on the Bike and he has a very fast team mate who will no doubt get faster,Not to mention its a Contract year as well.
The racing should only get better!!!!

I was at PI and the second race was a masterful display of racecraft by Norge. You made so many people very proud. Well done Norge. Top of the standings after round 1.
