WSBK » ‘If’s and ‘but’s for Haslam at Phillip Island

Leon Haslam laments a disappointing race day stymied by technical gremlins and an off-track delay at Phillip Island

I have knocked him sometimes in the past but I've gotta say his approach to this ride and the results from ith have been fantastic

Grabbed the bull by the horns and tried his heart out and for the first part of race one was running the pace too, so there's potential there.

I definatly wont be so quick to slag him off again, great ride!.

Always has put in a gutsy ride on every bike I've watched him ride.
He seams to need a bit of love in the camp as well though, and not much of that at bmw!

You've really got to question the use of honda's own electronics package if it is causing as many problems as the riders are saying, not that I doubt them.
Ten Kate have been championing the fire blade for years now with little or no help from Honda and now that they seem to be getting more assistance from the big h it is more of a hindrance than a help,

Not the luckiest rider in the world. In fact probably the moat luckless rider! He puts 150% in, in both preparation and races. Some luck will come his way im sure. Looked a really promising start! Honda aren't mugs. They'll get the electronics sorted out, I'm sure! Keep it up Leon!

Ifs and buts must be the story of his career,he has had lots of opportunities over the last fifteen years of road racing and never won a championship

Stick around Leon, who knows perhaps in 2014 the Fireblade will have a RC213V motor and electronics. I cant help thinking that Honda should be putting more emphasis on the WSBK. Many newcomers to the world of superbikes and those who are unsure of they current machines will be buying Aprilia's from today and for as long as the Aprilia's perform as well as they did at Phillip Island.
