"It would have been a 'bitter blow' for British race fans if this year's Silverstone round had been cancelled. Well, it is definitely going ahead" - Richard Phillips, Silverstone.

Given that Silverstone hosts 3 major international races, two of them bikes, maybe they should let one go, id say either MotoGP to Donnington or WSBK to Brands Hatch

Ron-as a northener,as much as it pains me to say it-you can keep the Moto GP at Silverstone, but purely from a spectator/nostalgia point,Brands would be a very worthy recipient of a WSBK round.

It's OK daydreaming but Brands don't want WSB.......unless they can be guaranteed to make a big fat profit out of it, that's what motivates Palmer & Co.
But if they did have it you could bet they'd do a better marketing job than is done currently, Silverstone WSB felt very much like the poor relation there last season, particularly the lack of big screens (vital on such a flat circuit with many buildings blocking the cross-circuit view) and all the closed stands.....even BSB there was a better event....its crazy when there's so much British interest.

Brands Hatch has had WSBK in the past. The UK gets 2 Rounds every hour so far. One is what they call the EUROPEAN ROUND. The second Round is the British Round. Donington Park has always had the European Round (Expect in 2010). Brands Hatch had the British Round. Silverstone sgned a 4yr deal for the Gt British Rd 2010-2013. Brands Hatch Management did not what to put ticket prices to high so did not sign a new cantract after 2009.
