no, you can still run the old kit. it's even on the 2013 FIM list. everybody mistakenly calls it a 1098R, but actually it's an 1198R which does feature some notable changes to the top end (introduced with the bayliss special for '09) over the 1st homologation.

like somebody mentioned when the 999 came out, teams still used the 998. most notably frankie chili's #7 yellow PSG-corse. guy had no love for the "trip-9".

let's just hope these effenbert jackwagons aren't drawing inspiration from a great man like pierfrancesco's yellow livery...? 'cause i gotta tell ya, they and chili don't have anything in common.

Reading online Lorenzo Lazi has accepted a ride for MV in the CIV Championship so he's out..they'll be lucky to find anyone daft enough to risk a ride with them!!

Everything just seems very much like they are trying to save face by keeping a fancy website then teasing BMW's then old Ducati's, tbh I doubt they will ever make it onto the grid this season....

While these guys seem to cheapen the paddock with their here today .. gone tomorrow .. here the next day attitude, being Canadian i give them huge props because they gave Brett Mccormick a run last year. If there was even a glimmer of hope of me being able to watch a Canadian race .. even once in 2013 I would give them my full support. +1 Brett McCormick

They have a place on the grid for a full year beyond the year they raced, so 2013 is a year that the FIM, Dorna can't stop this team from competing...despite the 'mishaps' of last year !
I thought the team raced a hand-me-down 1098R ( not new by any means ) anyway, this bike must be a good few years old by now ?

Put McCormick back on that beast! The lad will do you proud, especially at the tighter tracks where the 30km/h top-speed deficit isn't so critical. Oh, and if you agree to do the season, do the season.
