Effenbert Liberty Racing drops another hint about its potential return to the World Superbike Championship, but suggests it will do so with Ducati machinery.

Yes the 1098R (or what became the 1198) is out of production as it's been replaced with the Panigale 1199. They're propably changing over to the 1198 bike because it's cheaper and more than likely couldn't ink a deal with BMW for support. Effenbert Liberty had problems with it's riders due to management so I'm not sure if any better type riders that may still be available would be interested in riding for these loonies. But I'm sure some hack will take a chance. That all said I wouldn't expect much from these guys other than grid fillers.

Eventhough the bike is out of production it still can be raced as long as it meets the percentage from the top riders required by the rules. Unless the rules require current year production bikes, which I doubt.
