Honda only really show really strongly in MotoGP (as do Yamaha come to that) where they really do have all the advantages over the competition in terms of budgets, sorted packages and terabytes of set-up data.

In all other series they are pretty anonymous - a bit like Stoner for Ducati, it looks like only the talent of Rea has kept the 'Blade anything like in the hunt in WSBK so far.

I reckon maybe Honda are a bit fed up with this - after all Ten Kate now have HRC sparky bits. Thing is the stuff seems to be SO complex and multi-adjustable that it may take a long time to crunch through all the myriad settings to get it to work. Chances are that once (If) they do sort it that it'll make the 'Blade a more competitive package.

Thing is that the package might blow hot & cold from track to track as they fiddle with the system without previous set-up parameters for the clever stuff?
