Trev as someone who rides a blade on the road its not as fast as whats out there now, same on the track. particularly at wsbk level its just getting blown away by works bmw's, aprilias and kwaks. In the last race everything just rode round Rea on the straight and he still had a fair result through rider ability. Nothing to do with the riders definately the bike!

Get well soon Leon and J Rea watch it because the fireblade cannot live with front runners and to try to stay with them you will go down.
About time Honda brought a new fast bike.

the blade is a fine piece of kit. sublime. and if there's any place it's going to be sorted...? it'd be assen, TKR's home base. this is just bad luck. others suffered crashes. one day he's owning flatland 360 tailwhips, next day he's in the infirmary. leo just can't catch a break... or can he...? :(

All the people slagging off the bike, get a grip. It may lack a little in top end power but it is one of the best handling bikes out there. The circuit was wet so less power is probably better. As it was also 1st practice, very few would have been pushing it anyway. Riders make mistakes and it is unfortunate that Leon appears to have got tangled up with the bike. Get well soon!

@bigp, or should I call you Valentino? It may not have the power as other road bikes but let's be honest, when can you use all that power on the road? Every road test states how good the blade is that is why they keep selling so well.

looks like the electronics issues are still not solved then.ten kate/honda need to bite the bullet and use a proper "bike" system from magneti marelli, the cosworth pectel stuff might be fine for cars, but it aint working on a superbike.
i just hope jonny rea is being well compensated for the wrecking of what is a very short career.

well, Max has all his titles (6) bar 1 with Aprilia, that pretty much makes him an Aprilia man in my book. If Max had never won his championships in 250 would we even know about Max Biaggi? Most of us wouldnt, not saying nobody would, but Aprilia and Max are like two peas in a pod, it would be unthinkable for him to finish his career on a different make of bike.
