Tom Sykes proves he is a tough man to beat when it gets slippery as he heads the timesheets after Q1, well ahead of Sylvain Guintoli and Eugene Laverty.

@Cast
Sykes is an excellent rider and rode very well last season,I just don't think he is the favorite to win the title like everyone said he is this year,I think his team mate Baz will be every bit as good as Tom by seasons end.
Really theres 4-5 riders who could walk away with the # 1 plate this year.

For sure sykes shouldnt be considered the favorite this year. The Kwak doesnt seem to have that top speed advantage it had last year. If the tyres held up sykes always looked like winning. Trouble is they didnt and that might be down to tom in part. touch of the reddings maybe. Hopefully not, love to see tom go well but cant help having the feeling that he might have missed out on the chance of a lifetime by 1/2 point.
