Please give the title to the italians. This is like an italian championship: the tyres are italian, the sponsors are italians, the rules are so italian friendly and the italian manufacturers dominate.

Sykes is guilty. He definitely should have been penalized for running off track, simple as that. I guess maybe his passport saved his assport on that one. Doesn't make sense otherwise.

re: "He definitely should have been penalized for running off track".

breaking news, historically being the "fast track" on the tour, monza doesn't penalize for running OFF course. why...? 'cause this is going to happen and has BEEN happening for decades.

instead, having thought the matter through, they penalize for improper REJOIN. anybody who knows anything about safety under green flag conditions knows THIS is the issue they are addressing. i'm afraid, many of you guys are talking out of your league.

Yeah it's not about "running off" as it is about "running off during an overtaking manuever".

Sykes outbraked himself plain and simple while attempting to pass Guintoli. THIS IS COMPLETELY OBVIOUS!!! If he sticks the move then yeah no harm, no foul but he did NOT make the corner and it's complete BS that he didn't cop to it. I've lost a lot of respect for Sykes the rest of you ****ers seem to have a bit to much nationalistic fervour to see the facts here...or maybe the rewind on your dvr is broken?

Sykes was overtaking Guintoli on the brakes entering turn 5.
He didn't pass him down the straight and then blow the corner all by himself. He attempted a late braking pass and failed miserably nearly collecting Melandri in the process.

I'll assume any person who contends otherwise is also a cheater because this sh!t here is OBVIOUS!!!

Sykes is a really good guy. But he ran off track and that should carry a penalty, even if it's a small one. 1 second would be more than fair. Give him the penalty and may the cards fall where they may.
