Yeah, Another 'gutsy' win by Marco, clearly lacking the traction and the pace down the straight, but still managed to pick up the win after being booted off by Sykes.

A shame Eugene's bike failed on him again.

@ neo81

Despite both MotoGP and World Superbikes have the same problem in performance disparity and differences in specification between the bikes, the races in the latter is far closer is due to the use of steel brakes instead of carbon brakes common in the former.

perhaps maybe a simple change in MotoGP regulation to mandate the use of steel brakes only, can solve the boring races that we have seen many times.

@ RocketR1

Agree with you on the move by Sykes. He's certainly quick but a couple of his passes recently have been questionable.

And great to see some fire from Guintoli, who's now working hard for his title lead. Hope to see the same from him in race 2.

re: "harsh move by sykes on marco"

not so much. only to laymen eyes.

marco's kit got out of shape over the crest preventing him from bleeding off the speed he would've liked. had this never occurred, the thought would've just been, "grinner pips marco on the brakes into T1".

and if you notice, marco (ricky C) melandri was motocrossing like a beast all race 1 (good on 'em). portimau has gotten so bumpy since it's construction, they may just be done with it and add a "whoops" section.

re: "@Shamarone
Yeah it was Marcos fault that Sykes cut him off lol...Go smoke another one. "

much ado about nothin'. I see you're another who struggles with reading comprehension. nobody said anything about it being MARCO'S fault (or any other person). did you see marco ie. THE BLOCK PASS KING getting worked up about it...? NO... you did not.

that should've told you something.
