WSBK » WSBK Portimao: Laverty bounces back after ‘midday curse’

Despite a 'cursed' start to the day, Eugene Laverty shows his hand with a fine lights-to-flag victory in the second race at Portimao.

Best racer in superbikes at the moment just needs to keep plugging away and a little luck would help as well.

Watching the races this year the competition is great but there is a feeling of emptiness at the moment whether that be low grid numbers, no wild cards or uncertain rule changes. Hopefully some sensible rules come from Dorna but I'll hold my breath for that one.

I agree, WSBK doesn't seem as entertaining or as engrossing as usual. I'd like to see Kawasaki win a title but beyond that I can't muster much enthusiasm. The Panigale has been very disappointing too. I prefer World Superstock these days.
