WSBK » Checa to challenge for Panigale podium?

Having won five of the last six races to be held around Imola, history suggests Carlos Checa is well placed to give the Alstare Ducati team a big boost this weekend.

You seem to have left out the main reason Checa should be pushing for a podium this weekend, and that is the Panigale has had the air restrictors completely removed since the last round.

We'll see this weekend just how much faster/slower than the 4's an unrestricted 1200cc Ducati actually is.

History means nothing when your bike is a mess.
Though I would be the happiest person if he stood on the podium. It's bad to see him suffer.

honestly, I don't see removing the corks being anything more than a band-aid. removing the corks helps ideally with peak power and unfortunately imola's not a top end track. now aragon THAT was a top end track.

bottom line is this chassis recalcitrant and needs development and the time is rapidly approaching for audi to decide which project they are going to concentrate on. you don't see Honda, Yamaha, BMW, or Kawi trying to burn the candle at both ends. you'd think we'd learn something from that.
