Cry wolf
Heard this same old story far too many times in the past.

Some aspects of this story make no sense.
The more WSBK rules favour production bikes, the less chance KTM have of being competitive. That RC8R is certainly NOT "Ready to Race" as their slogan claims.
Seems KTM want to produce a limited production race bike to compete against other manufacturers production bike. Hardly fair.

Also, how do they see Moto2 as a future area of involvement ... it's a spec Honda class. Maybe they didn't get the memo that a rival company supplies the engines in that class?

The more the merrier.
Some great points from ktm limiting engines per season is not the way to go it is more expensive to develop a long lasting high performance race eengine than it is to build multiple high performance race engines. Some of the cost cutting measures such as suspension and brakes are a step forward for the series but it will be a fine line in other areas such as electronics but a spec ecu and limiting electronics staff per rider will make cheaper and more or less even.
In terms of manufacturer involvement in racing in terms of national seriesfactory teams dominate where they choose is the best market for that company to promote themselves. This has led to our current situation where we have factory efforts in national series of varying degress and none of them can even hope to come to WSBK level due to WSBK losing it's identity in chasing laptimes and dominance by other factory efforts.

Bla bla bla... same old, same old.

Have been reading this same state, ment from KTM for the past 3 years, and nothing happens. Keep watching the big boys racing, while you figure out if you want to take a chance at wining a wsbk title.

One thing is for sure... without trying, you will never reach it.

Bring it over to wsbk, or shut up about it.
