BMW GoldBet Motorrad manager Andrea Buzzoni says he is 'sorry' for BMW's decision to pull out of World Superbikes but is certain it won't demotivate his team.

With the new tech regs. in WSB actually making a more level playing field the opportunities for teams and riders are improved. The riders haven't been downgraded, have they? This is opening the championship to more private race teams and the more factories step back and support those teams the better the chances are for a brilliant series going forward. Sure, there will still be the political and financial bickering, but it could be more in the background and the racing shouldn't suffer and in fact it might just improve! (wild optimism there).

Fair enough. Cant argue there. We both just want decent racing at the end of the day.

Still dont agree with the tactics employed by BMW though, as others have pointed out they have form for this sort of thing and it makes a mockery of, as you mentioned, the smaller teams that scratch and claw to get any results....let alone the ones BMW bought themselves.

Melandri could easily take Guitoli's seat. Davies too.

Why Guitoli? He is on two year deal and leads the championship. Laverty is in danger zone if Melandri - Aprilia deal is more than rumor.
