AMA spec vs WSBK, AMA first practice, Josh Hayes Yamaha, 124.8. WSBK first practice, Chaz Davies BMW, 125.2..

I think that a tight, technical track like Laguna willI be an equalizer with regards to the more liberal rules of WSBK. I wouldn't be surprised if Hayes has the fastest time of the weekend, followed by Rog. Let's not forget track knowledge as well.

6 of the top 7 riders have ridden on the track before. And don't forget American Superbike has already run a race here this year. So Hayden and Eslick have a fair advantage. But I hope they can keep it and mix with the usual faces on Sunday (and Saturday).

The AMA regs may not be too dissimilar to where WSBK is headed next year with the EVO class... Reckon MJM is considering a move into the world series next season?

Been rumoured before and I can imagine Dorna would LOVE to have both an American team and a global superstar name attached to it
