Tom had problems with the tyres on the final laps thats why he had to slow down, was bad for the Champion but is still on good shape!! Who faces some problems now is Guintoli that loss the lead of the Team on the Standings to Laverty... Yeah this race was really not good for him and how about this next track is Magny cour with Tom leading the Champion by 23 points to Laverty, will be home race to Guintoly that is in 3 place.. Man this year has been sick i allready say only in Valencia we will see the winner

Another thoroughly enjoyable race that one ! This weekend has done world superbikes a world of good.

Laverty has now won 3 of the last 4 races, and a third place. Not too shabby eh ? I bet he rues his double dnf at Aragon (double crash, both his fault) which very well might prove crucial for the championship. Ironically, Aragon was the scene of misfortune for Sykes last season (wiped out from a podium position by BADovini) when he lost it by half a point. And today Aragon took out a title contender at MotoGP. That track cursed or what lol.

Sykes and Laverty are the only riders on 7 wins now, class of the field. If Guinters can pull something back at his home round things can become very interesting. That said, I think people would expect a world champion with more than a couple of wins, and he has only 1 thus far which should be cause for concern for him.

What a race!
I was rooting for Giugliano but Laverty is on a mission now.
If only Aprilia could combine Eugene's speed and Guinters' consistency!
Now the main rival for Sykes is Laverty but if Tom finishes 2nd in all 4 remaining races, he's gonna be a champ no matter what.
Next stop - Magny Cours. Watch out for Guinters there...
Damn, I just love WSBK!

Vilas: The last race is at Jerez, not Valencia.

Shrieker: I believe Eugene had mechanical problems at Aragon race 1 and Portimao race 1 and he crashed out of Aragon race 2, Imola race 2 and Moscow race 1. I am not sure though...

What a race. So entertaining. Great race by laverty but also by Giuliagno. I watched the motogp today and apart from the battle for third near the end with Rossi, Bautista and Bradl it was a bit of a dull race. But yet motogp gets the big attendances. I would love to see Rossi move to wsbk for a couple of seasons. It would give the series a boost and give it the audiences it deserves

You say Sykes an do with second places and win it,there are 6 races x 5 points = 30 ,laverty only 26 behind, but as we all know racing is not a science and there is a lot of misdemeana's' yet.looks like a fight to end.

There are 4 races left, I'm assuming you're counting the Indian round which got cancelled. So indeed it will give Sykes the title if he finishes 2nd in all the remaining 4 races. But the problem for him is there is more than one rider eager to beat him and today's race showed it perfectly. Tom will have to fight for it, aiming for 2nd places won't cut it, there is no doubt.
