Davide Giugliano comes close to claiming his first World Superbike win at Laguna Seca following an inspired ride in the second race of the weekend.

mmm Was great for him and the Team but i dunno why i dont really bealive on what is saying... For me the way that he let the door open for Laverty was more an invite because he new how importante it would be for Laverty and the factory boys to have this Win.. The way he was racing and fightingh hard and the way he loss is place to Laverty was very strange.. maybe aim wrong but was my impression..

Vilas46. There is absolutely no way that that Giugliano allowed Laverty to pass him. That's a ludicrous suggestion. Did you see the pass Giugliano did on Laverty earlier in the race? That wasn't the pass of someone trying to let Laverty win. Also why would a young man with no previous superbike wins, who was riding the race of his life want to allow someone from a different team to win?
