he also podiumed twice in the dry in 2008 on a satellite Ducati, something Rossi took 2 years to do and only managed in the wet :) People talk up and down about how he sucks on Bridgestones, but when he wasnt with the low budget LCR (before redbull/bradl) he was doing just fine at Gresini, on Bridgestone tires.

An exciting rider, who deserves a good shot, because getting passed around year in and year out makes it very difficult to achieve something special. Hope he and the team have enough money to get close to the podium, and then on it.

Elias won the 2006 Estoril GP on custom tyres made just for him, in GP's he was a strong rider but never consistent enough (excluding 2010 of course), WSB showed a better side of his riding, this is where he belongs I think.

@Prof Rossi got a podium in the dry at Misano, 2nd behind Lorenzo.

LaughingGas: Away from MOTOGP he does all right. Stick him on a Motogp bike and its a disaster.

Oct 16, 2006 - ESTORIL (Portugal): Toni Elias of Spain edged Valentino Rossi in a photo finish on Sunday to win the Portuguese GP
OOOh that right Elias was on a satellite bike.
