"In terms of feedback, the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R is better than any Superbike I've ridden here, I can really attack the course more..."

Sounds pretty ominous that the guy who gave Sykes a run for his money last year finds that his new bike not only is giving him great feedback but is also able to do lap record pace race simulations.

He's definitely going to be a thorn in Sykes side this season but at least they get along.

Another pass on Melandri like the one on the penultimate race of last year would be sweet deserts.

It won't be long before Sam works out how to get the absolute most out of the bike either.

Seriously can't wait till that flag drops.

Can't see Suzuki back on top unless Pirelli are giving them match tires.

And if that is the case, Eugene will probably lose to Alex Lowes by the end of the season.

Would be interesting to see the trap speeds for testing.

Looks like another throwaway season, like 2011. Hope I am wrong, but its looking like it more and more.

Does this prove that the rider still has 80% to do with winning compared to 20% of the bike?

I'm just asking because for the past few years the Suzuki has been rubbish, but here comes Laverty and he puts the bike on top! I supported Melandri last year but after that last race of 2013 where he pulled that aggressive overtake on Laverty, and then Laverty pulled an awesome overtake to beat Melandri ... I have decided to support Laverty for 2014! What a nice guy and talented racer. I'm looking forward to the start of the season :)

the thing is laverty says he can hold almost pole qualifying pace through out the whole race, who wants to watch that, just turn to MotoGP, and see the same thing.

I am very sure Lowes will beat Laverty (because I believe there is a big money/interests propping them up) over the season though, and I expect something similar as to how Marquez played out his rookie season win, they don't really change the script, just the actors you know. Enjoy being entertained. It's one thing to get a good lap in, its another to find you have tires that will blow away the rest of the competition, which Eugene is pretty much confirming in this and other articles.

Why I should be surprised is probably my own fault, almost everything you see on TV is a lie anyways, engineered for 'your' consent.
