I'm slowly becoming convinced that Leon Haslam is overrated. If it's the lack of a competitive bike that's holding him back, why isn't he at least somewhat close to Rea on a regular basis?

Bradenws Johnny is simply the best out there. None of his previous team mates have come anywhere near him. Johnny makes the honda look good just by his talent. Haslam is a very good rider which he has proved but Rea's is in a league of his own.

I rate Rea but "league of his own" should be reserved for comparisons with other Honda riders. I believe he is good but after 100 years(sarcastically) on the Honda could he even do well on anything else?? Not arguing but just food for thought... Rea is good but certainly on paper nothing suggest that he is anything better than top 5 material in the entire field at this time!! Get off the Honda and go win a title please!! Anyway I hope this is the start of something for him.... because he has worked his are off for these wins and deserved them!!

Haslam was a title contender on the under developed Suzuki!! Johnny has not even come close to that yet so be careful how you under rate him! I also believe Haslam matched or outperformed Rea when they were both on Hondas in 2009...Rea had more wins but Haslam beat him most times in other races and that is how he got the Alstare Suzuki ride and competed for the title in 2010!!!

Haslam is struggling a bit now but he has done 1000% better than any other Honda rider (besides Rea) in the last 5 years on the Ten Kate team. Leon is consistent top 8-10. That is nothing to jump about but Rea has been on this beast his whole adult life...both LH and JR were wounded racers last year so Haslam is on the back foot as he did not get a proper season on the Honda. He did beat JR in Phillip Island last year and matched him up to the point when he was injured...
