Checa has been consistently fast on the Althea Ducati since pre-season testing, and so has Byrne. The latter had a big high side in practice at Phillip Island which knocked him around more than a little bit, but he too looks as if he's back on the pace. Going to be one very tough year for everyone in Superbike. The champ will be the one who makes the least mistakes and gets good points at his worst rounds.
