Marco Melandri backs Race Direction for its divisive decision to cancel the first World Superbike race at Monza.

According to GPone, following the Monza debacle, Paolo Flammini has excluded Melandri from the group of riders who are to be consulted on safety matters. If that is correct, Flammini is as good as stating that not only could Melandri's bike not be repaired in time for the race but also that his objections to it going ahead were purely down to him being unable to compete.
